FocusOne Mortgage Solutions is looking for Residential Mortgage Regulatory Compliance Manager. We are located in Northwest Houston, this position is in office not a remote position. 

As the Residential Mortgage Compliance Manager you will oversee our mortgage lending activities and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations. This role involves developing, implementing, and managing compliance policies and procedures, conducting audits, and providing staff training.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Develop and manage the company’s mortgage compliance program.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update company policies and procedures accordingly.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of mortgage operations.
• Manage staff training and the training platform while working with Human Resources.
• Review company policies, procedures, and marketing materials for completeness and compliance.
• Investigate compliance issues and coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries and audits.
• Prepare compliance reports to senior management and the board of directors.
• Manage HMDA data and complete annual HMDA-LAR filing.
• Complete NMLS reporting and maintain state licensing.
• Review company insurance to ensure it meets state guidelines.
• Cross-train in other positions such as Closing and Post Closing. 
• Provide coverage in these areas as needed.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of experience in mortgage compliance or comparable experience or education.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local mortgage lending regulations (e.g., RESPA, TILA, HMDA, ECOA).
• In-depth knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC and investor underwriting guidelines.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required. 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

• Proven effectiveness in working with loan originators and applicants
• Ability to resolve questions and manage workflow to meet deadlines
• Proficiency in data input and computer software systems
• Capability to work under pressure and maintain proper liaison between staff, employees, managers, attorneys, and vendors
• Strong mathematical skills for financial calculations
• Ability to work professionally with limited supervision
• Proficiency in Mircrosoft Excel and Word
