Job Title: Mechanical Piping DesignerJob Description The Mechanical Designer-Piping 1 position seeks an individual with 0-2 years of related experience. The role involves providing 3D piping/equipment designs for retrofit, environmental, and new generation projects. You will produce 2D orthographic and isometric drawings, P&IDs, pipe support designs, and 3D models. Collaborate with engineers and other designers across various disciplines to ensure safe, effective, and efficient designs. You must be knowledgeable in applicable codes and standards, gather field data to support deliverables, and prepare material take-offs. Responsibilities + Provide 3D piping/equipment designs for retrofit, environmental, and new generation projects. + Produce 2D orthographic and isometric drawings, P&IDs, pipe support designs, and 3D models. + Collaborate with engineers and other designers of various disciplines to ensure safe, effective, and efficient designs. + Apply knowledge of applicable codes and standards in work situations. + Gather field data to support the development of deliverables. + Prepare material take-offs. Essential Skills + Basic design experience in mechanical piping systems. + Experience related to the new construction and/or retrofit of power generation facilities or other similar heavy industrial facilities. + Experience using 3D modeling tools for piping system layout and designs. + Knowledge of Plant 3D is preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 0-2 years of related experience. Work Environment The position is on-site at the National Carbon Capture Center. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
