Brief Overview of type of faculty position we are seeking: The Public Health Department of the School of Sciences and Health Professions at Simmons University is seeking applicants for an adjunct instructor position in the Public Health Department to teach PH 201-01 - Introduction to Epidemiology section in person, to begin September 2, 2025 and end December 12, 2025.
Course Description Students will learn and apply basic concepts of epidemiology, using collaborative learning through project activities, case students, peer discussion, and independent research. Students will examine the impact of social conditions and identify factors that account for adverse health at the population level, and use epidemiology to promote positive health outcomes.
Responsibilities : The adjunct instructor will be responsible for lecturing and leading class discussions on Fridays 2:00-4:50. Classes run from September - December with final exams scheduled between December 16-19, 2025.
Requirements : Master's or Ph.D. degree and experience teaching Public Health courses.
Preferred Qualifications : experience teaching epidemiology.
