Worship & Creative Arts

REPORTS TO: Executive Pastor

POSITION TYPE: Full-time, Salaried, Exempt

HOURS WORKED: 40+ Hours

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Worship and Creative Arts oversees, manages, and directs weekly gatherings and all media and communications for the church. They also lead worship at the weekend gatherings and lead and direct the worship and production teams. To fulfill the mission, this leader must develop the creative individuals in our congregation, equipping them to facilitate excellent weekend gatherings and communicate our vision, values, and the gospel in compelling and creative ways.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Weekend Gatherings - Serve as the primary worship leader. Facilitate the creative elements of the worship gatherings by leading, training, and developing the music and AVL teams. Work with the Lead Pastor to craft gathering orders that communicate truth in fresh and creative ways.

• Build Teams and Develop Leaders - Build and develop teams of creative individuals engaged in weekend gatherings, which can produce creative and worshipful environments. Oversee and lead a staff of three full-time employees (Worship Leader, Production Director, and Communication Coordinator).

• Manage our Social Footprint - Oversee our social media and web presence, including website planning and design. Oversee and implements the church's branding guidelines.

• Media Production - Oversee all media production in the church, including, but not limited to, weekly livestream, promotional videos, and social media posts.

• Team Projects & Collaboration - Work together with the church and school staff to accomplish various projects and initiatives as needed.

• Ministry Administration - Manage ministry administration, such as budgets, organizing relevant metrics and data, calendaring, etc.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Has a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital growing personal relationship with Him.
• Spiritually mature, models the lifestyle of a passionate, maturing follower of Jesus.
• Lives a healthy, balanced lifestyle that honors God, family, and others.
• A reliable, hard worker who can manage a broad set of tasks well.
• Self-starter who shows initiative and innovation.
• Team player who works well with various personalities and has a consistent positive influence within the team.
• Teachable and approachable.
• Administratively gifted.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Ministry or related bachelor's degree.
• 5+ years experience in worship ministry.
• Experience leading teams and developing leaders.
• Proficient vocalist and instrumentalist with the ability to teach others.
• Expert with worship ministry programs, such as Pro Presenter, Planning Center, and Ableton Live.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the creative arts, including graphic design, video production, photography, and worship production.
