TorkLaw, a leading personal injury law firm, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Webmaster to join our dynamic team.

As Webmaster, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operation of our WordPress websites, ensuring optimal functionality, performance, and security. You’ll work closely with marketing and design teams to implement updates, troubleshoot issues, and manage website content—playing a key role in our digital strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Website Management: Oversee and maintain our WordPress websites, ensuring they are running smoothly, fast, and securely.
• Content Updates: Manage and update website content, including text, images, and multimedia, ensuring it aligns with brand guidelines.
• Theme & Plugin Management: Install, configure, and update themes and plugins to enhance website functionality and design.
• Security & Backup: Implement security measures, monitor potential threats, and perform regular backups to safeguard data.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor website performance (speed, uptime) and optimize for better user experience and SEO.
• Troubleshooting & Bug Fixing: Diagnose and resolve website issues, including errors, broken links, and plugin conflicts.
• Collaboration: Work with marketing, design, and IT teams to ensure the website supports business goals, promotions, and campaigns.
• Analytics & Reporting: Monitor website traffic, user behavior, and conversion rates using Google Analytics and other tools. Provide regular reports and insights.
• SEO Best Practices: Ensure the website follows SEO best practices to enhance visibility and search engine rankings.

We’re looking for a WordPress developer with strong experience in customizing themes via code—beyond just using page builders. You should be comfortable working with PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress theme files to create and modify custom templates, functions, and styles.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with WordPress, including theme and plugin customization.

• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console).
• Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., DigitalOcean).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and website optimization techniques.
• Experience with SEO research and analytics tools (i.e. ahrefs or Semrush).
• Experience with website security best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of responsive design and mobile optimization.
• Familiarity with website performance tools (e.g., GTmetrix, Lighthouse).
• Basic graphic design skills or experience with tools like Adobe Photoshop or Canva
• Highly skilled in WordPress
