Starting Wage: $19.00 per hour

Pacific Patrol Services (PPS) is a Locally Owned , family-oriented company that values our team members.

No experience is necessary for this entry-level position. We will provide the training to do the job effectively. Our ongoing training, advancement, and career development opportunities are available.

ALL our PPS team members receive extensive training that teaches you how to provide security in Portland's downtown environment. Your training will equip you to maintain safe and friendly environments in office spaces, residential buildings, parking garages, and sidewalks. You will learn how to communicate effectively with all types of people.

You're a great fit for this position if you pay close attention to detail and listen empathetically . You are patient and levelheaded, especially in the heat of conflict. Your personal ethics and values are strong and unwavering. You are good at building relationships and are friendly to all who cross your path.

Fields that transition well into security include gas attendants, warehouse workers, Customer service, Fast food, Construction, Landscaping, and EMTs…

Our flexible scheduling will help you achieve a work-life balance. We have both Full-Time and Part-Time positions available.

This position also requires a security certification in the state of Oregon (DPSST). We have state-certified trainers. PPS provides the 14-hour state certification class free of charge. We will assist you with completing the application paperwork and fees for the security certification application process.

Some criminal convictions may prevent you from becoming certified as a security officer. Please review the link for examples of disqualifying conduct. Talk to us about any convictions you may have, and we will let you know if they are disqualifiers.

SKILLS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Must comply with PPS' drug-free workplace policy
• Functional understanding of Microsoft office products

Have excellent communication skills , including fluency in both spoken and written English.

Possess a positive and energetic attitude , staying calm under pressure.

Availability for working day shift, swing shift, graveyard shift, and weekends.
