About the Role & Program
As a member of the Transportation Logistics & Analytics team, the Professional Intern is responsible for gathering and analyzing a variety of data, visualizing the data into a cohesive and compelling story, and then delivering that story to key partners to influence strategic decisions and drive the business forward.
The right fit candidate would be curious, think proactively, is eager to solve complex problems, and has a strong instinct to act. Experience in influencing and partnering with others is an important attribute as is the ability to balance multiple priorities and manage time appropriately. This internship is a full-time commitment located in the Orlando, FL area from June 2025 - January 2026
What You Will Do
Analyze a wide variety of data using multiple tools and forecasting models, updating existing and creating new tools/models when necessary
Reverse engineer existing Excel and VBA logic to update to more efficient approaches with more scalable technologies like Python and SQL
Create visualizations using Tableau that effectively and succinctly summarize analysis and recommendations to tell the necessary story
Present updates and recommendations to key partners, including executives
Partner with multiple teams, including Transportation Engineering Services, Industrial Engineering, Finance and Workforce Management
Required Qualifications & Skills
Positive approach with a focus on how to accomplish the tasks at hand
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to perform quantitative analysis
Superb written and oral communication skills, as well as experience developing presentations
Proven strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to balance multiple demands and competing priorities in a complex business environment
Works well in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Resourceful and proactive, with an ability to leverage existing partnerships or forge new relationships to navigate complex situations
Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience with Python programming languages
Knowledge of SAS or SQL programming
Experience with Tableau or PowerBI visualization techniques
Required Education
Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Fully available to work full-time (40 hours per week) from June 2025 - January 2026
Fully available Monday - Friday and occasional evenings and/or weekends depending on project needs
Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Orlando, FL area
Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work
