ROLE OVERVIEW

The Marketing Specialist supports the Sr. Marketing Manager with administrative tasks related to retail and professional activations. The Specialist will support the organization with the roll-out of ghd in-store campaigns, product launches, and education events. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines. This role collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive brand awareness and enhance the customer experience.

This role will be based in our Calabasas office, and we offer a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including print and digital assets, newsletters, campaign tool kits
• Manage distribution of team and customer samples
• Assists in creating retailer focused marketing content in partnership with our education team
• Submit translation requests and creative briefs
• Partner with graphic designer and channel leads to create retailer centric marketing materials
• Coordinate seeding of innovation for retail and pro influencers
• Maintain updated calendar of channel events and activations
• Assisting with the planning of sales & marketing events
• Track project and launch timelines to support smooth execution
• In close collaboration with sales leads to align marketing initiatives with sales objectives

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• 1-2 years of relevant work experience in the beauty industry preferred
• Proficient in Instagram, TikTok, Facebook
• Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, ever-evolving environment
• Have a strong work ethic and can-do attitude
• Strong written, verbal communication skills and relationship building skills
• General knowledge of premium retail and professional/wholesale environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Strong understanding of retail landscape and consumer buying behavior
• Project management skills to execute marketing plans effectively
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities and customer insights to refine/optimize trade plans
• Help monitor the effectiveness of trade marketing activities and recommend improvements/optimizations
