SUMMARY: The Titles Specialist is responsible for releasing vehicle titles upon payoff, timely record keeping of titles with our 3rd party titles vendor, and processing titling documents. This position is also responsible for the timely processing of title documents and customer service requests as they relate to titles, performs mail room services, and other office administrative duties. This role operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring 3-5 days per week to be spent in the office. Candidates should also be available for occasional overtime as needed.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day vehicle title release and title maintenance process
  • Prepares lien satisfactions and responds to title requests
  • Communicate to departments when collateral problems arise
  • Perform various title clerk activities (sorting, scanning, preparing paperwork and status calls)
  • Works closely with other team members to ensure all aspects of title related tasks are completed
  • Respond to customer requests, both internal and external, regarding account status and title and registration issues
  • Maintain satisfactory work efforts in multiple queues based on specified requirements.
  • Analyze data used in settling claims to ensure that claims are valid and that settlements are made according to company policies and procedures
  • Document daily transactions 
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers 
  • Meet or exceed defined department goals and metrics
  • Coordinate with DMV’s across the nation to process requests regarding titling and registering vehicles
  • Handle a high volume of incoming customer inquiries via telephone
  • Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 1 year titles experience in the auto finance industry
  • Track record of over-achievement
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Familiar with CRM systems and practices
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Exceptional problem solving and persuasive skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to acquire Notary Public in California if necessary

Pay Range:

Base salary: $19-$24 per hour
