**Job Title: TIG Welder** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding to join metal parts, ensuring high-quality and precise welds. This role requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. **Responsibilities** + Perform TIG welding on various metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium, to create strong and precise joints. + Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding codes to determine welding requirements. + Select and set up welding equipment, including torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to the thickness and type of metal. + Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet specifications and are free of defects. Conduct radiographic and bend tests as needed. + Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean work environment. + Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and report any malfunctions or defects. + Work closely with other team members, including engineers and fabricators, to complete projects efficiently and accurately. + Maintain accurate records of welding parameters and completed tasks. **Essential Skills** + 2-3 years of TIG welding experience using old school pedals on stainless steel. + Experience with blueprint reading. + Experience with basic mechanical assembly. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience welding with titanium. + Bilingual abilities. **Why Work Here?** Employees receive medical, dental, and vision insurance to ensure their health and well-being. The company is a manufacturing environment with various machines such as CNCs, punch presses, and laser machines. The dress code includes jeans, steel-toed boots, and a T-shirt. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Northbrook, IL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
