Job Description

Stepping Stones Learning Center LLC in Eau Claire, WI is looking for a three-year-old teacher to join our family. Our preschool teacher provides a safe and nurturing environment for children that encourage their social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. The teacher plans and implements a developmentally appropriate curriculum for enrolled children. They ensure the provision of quality, comprehensive child development services and referrals. The preschool teacher will follow DCF regulations. Though much of the learning centers around play, the primary purpose of the educational program is to prepare students for kindergarten.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive work environment
• Ensure children are closely supervised at all times.
• Follow attendance/tracking procedures. Maintain accurate attendance/tracking records at all times.
• Ensure that the classroom is maintained in a safe, clean, orderly condition and is in good repair.
• Follow all DCF regulations and guidelines at all times.
• Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum that reflects observations and assessments of individual children and goals.
• Complete weekly lesson plans.

Qualifications

• Successfully pass Caregiver Background Check
• Must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others and be able to relate well to children, families, and staff.
• Demonstrate effective listening, oral and written communication skills.
• Complete necessary continuing education each year.
