A Catholic Elementary School Teacher is responsible for fostering a Christ-centered, academically excellent learning environment that nurtures the spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional growth of each student. The teacher will integrate Catholic values into all aspects of education, maintain high academic standards, and uphold the mission and vision of the school in alignment with the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools (NSBECS).
Faith Formation & Integration
Promote Catholic values through inclusive, respectful interactions and faith-based instruction. Participate actively in liturgies and religious celebrations.
Instructional Excellence
Design standards-aligned lessons using diverse, student-centered strategies. Foster critical thinking and integrate technology to enhance learning.
Student Development
Support students' spiritual, academic, and emotional growth. Maintain high expectations and assess progress through varied assessments. Communicate regularly with stakeholders.
Community Engagement
Build strong relationships and actively support school events and service initiatives. Model faith, service, and academic excellence.
Professional Growth
Pursue ongoing development, reflect on practice, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance student success.
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Valid teaching credential or certification appropriate for elementary education.
Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.
Strong knowledge of Catholic teachings and a commitment to faith-based education.
Experience teaching in a classroom setting, preferably in a Catholic school.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance instruction.
