Key Responsibilities
Preparation of Sushi : Create a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, maki, and sashimi, using fresh ingredients and traditional techniques.
Menu Development : Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative sushi menus that attract customers and enhance the dining experience.
Food Safety Compliance : Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring that all food is prepared and stored properly to prevent contamination.
Ingredient Management : Manage inventory of sushi ingredients, including fish and vegetables, and place orders as needed to maintain stock levels.
Customer Interaction : Customize orders based on customer preferences and dietary restrictions, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Kitchen Maintenance : Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including sterilizing utensils and equipment used in sushi preparation.
Culinary Experience : Proven experience as a sushi chef or in a similar role, typically requiring several years of training or apprenticeship in Japanese cuisine.
Knowledge of Japanese Cuisine : Deep understanding of sushi preparation techniques, including rice cooking, fish slicing, and presentation skills.
