Job Description

Hiring for Multiple Shifts: (All applicants must have flexibility to work until the shift is completed and short notice call-ins) Must be able to work Monday- Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm until the new facility is launched.

Shift Details/Compensation:

• 1st Shift: Mon – Fri 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Pay Range $29.37 - $36.71/hr.
• 2nd Shift : Mon – Fri 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm. Pay Range : $29.37 - $36.71/hr. + $0.50 Shift Differential
• 3rd Shift: Mon – Fri 12:00 Midnight – 8:30 am. Pay Range : $29.37 - $36.71/hr. + $0.70 Shift Differential
• Weekend Shift : Fri – Mon 7:00 am – 5:30 pm. Pay Range : $29.37 - $36.71/hr. +$2.00 Shift Differential

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintenance, modification, troubleshooting, and repair of various challenging electronic and electro-mechanical systems in a distribution center environment.
• Provide electrical support for all facility systems and equipment including but not limited to conveyors, A-frames, Printers, Strappers, Compressors, and other automated technologies.
• Demonstrate skills in all phases of facility maintenance including electrical troubleshooting.
• Self-starter in new system and equipment learning and training.
• Ability to lead and train other facilities assistants.
• Communicate with and maintain relationships with vendors.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3+ years of related experience

Critical Skills:

• Experience with troubleshooting control systems ranging from relay logic to microprocessor-based controls.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics is required.
• Excellent understanding of electrical and mechanical systems including power feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, AC/DC drives, PLCs, UPS systems, compressors, strappers air handling units, and CRAC units.
• At least 2 years in mechanical/HVAC, electrical, or a combination of both.
• Ability to learn quickly and address issues as they arise during normal working hours or when on call.
• Applicants must be flexible with work hours and days, including holidays and short-notice call-in.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the NEC and some light electrical construction experience is desired.
• Windows XP/Windows 7 and work order experience is preferred
• Experience with LOTO and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to lead, communicate, and motivate team members under normal and high-pressure periods due to system failures.
• Ability to communicate effectively between facilities team, vendors, operations, and IT.
• Ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work on facility systems.

Education:

• Associate degree, trade school certification, or other verifiable training in a relevant technical field preferred.
