We are seeking a Software Tester I to support quality assurance efforts for a high-impact licensing and automation system. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure application functionality, performance, and reliability through structured testing activities. The role focuses on user acceptance testing (UAT), including regression, web, IVR, and point-of-sale components, within an Agile development environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, update, and execute test plans, test scripts, standards, procedures, and user acceptance use case scenarios
Participate in the setup, control, and maintenance of test environments
Record and document results, defects, and test data for analysis and decision-making
Track issues, risks, and actions using Microsoft tracking tools
Define entry/exit criteria and success metrics for various testing phases
Deliver detailed test summaries, findings, and mitigation recommendations to project leads and stakeholders
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members in Agile meetings
Support traceability of requirements and confirm successful data migrations and system mappings
Assist in analyzing and validating functional and technical specifications
1+ Year of experience in application development testing
1+ Year of experience creating test scripts and use case scenarios for user acceptance
Proven ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks within established timelines
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent technical study
1+ Year of experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) or a similar test management tool
Familiarity with Agile development and testing practices
Experience in business analysis or requirements validation
Knowledge of data migration strategies and data mapping validation
Previous experience with state or local government systems (preferred but not required)
Understanding of licensing, resource management, or conservation-related services (e.g., hunting, fishing, boating)
