About Us

ALEX Home Inspection Services LLC is a certified government contractor specializing in inspection and compliance services for public infrastructure projects across Florida. We are seeking a skilled and certified Sewer & Pipeline Inspector to support municipal and utility inspection projects. This role focuses on evaluating underground infrastructure using advanced CCTV inspection technology and standardized NASSCO defect coding.

Job Overview

The Sewer & Pipeline Inspector will conduct condition assessments of sewer mainlines, laterals, and manholes to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal standards. This position plays a critical role in infrastructure maintenance, stormwater management, and capital improvement planning for municipal clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform CCTV inspections of sewer mains, laterals, and manholes in accordance with PACP, LACP, and MACP standards.
  • Accurately document defects, conditions, and recommendations using NASSCO coding systems.
  • Operate inspection equipment, cameras, and reporting software (e.g., WinCan, ITpipes, POSM).
  • Generate comprehensive inspection reports for submission to municipalities and engineering teams.
  • Maintain accurate field records and comply with all safety regulations and worksite requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, utility authorities, and contractors to ensure project success.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current PACP, LACP, and MACP certifications issued by NASSCO .
  • Minimum 2 years of experience performing sewer or utility pipeline inspections.
  • Proficiency with CCTV inspection systems and defect coding.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with municipal infrastructure projects or government contracts.
  • Knowledge of stormwater systems, sanitary sewers, and infrastructure asset management.
  • Familiarity with GIS-based reporting and pipeline mapping tools.

Additional Details

  • Type: Project-based / Independent Contractor (1099)
  • Compensation: $50 – $70 per hour (based on experience and project scope)
  • Flexible scheduling and opportunities for long-term contract work.
