Martin Automotive Group is looking for a Service Manager for our Toyota Cleveland Heights location! The Service Manager is responsible for supervising the service department. Ensures the CSI rating is maintained at the highest level possible while maximizing gross profit.
Responsibilities:
• Strive to prevent and resolve customer vehicle problems by emphasizing to customers the importance of consistent, regular vehicle maintenance.
• Develop and implement training programs for the Service, Parts and Body Shop department employees. • Review technicians’ work prior to the release of vehicles.
• Conduct monthly Fixed Operations meeting and encourage attendance of Operations Director. Completion of meeting notes and sending to Corporate.
• Ensure department OSHA compliance.
• Understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA right-to-know, etc. Complete OSHA training and ensure OSHA training completion by department employees.
• Administer warranty claims, including reviewing warranty policy adjustments.
• Understand and follow manufacturers’ policy and procedures manual.
• Serve as liaison with factory representatives. Completion of manufacturer meeting notes.
• Review the prior month’s sales/profit performance with the Service, Parts and Body Shop Managers to determine where improvements can be made.
• Review and revise customer service work orders when necessary.
• Follow up with customers on unsold repairs.
• Assist in the diagnosing of vehicle problems.
• Monitor collection of accounts receivable for fixed departments.
• Establish and maintain paper service history files (customer, warranty and internal) by VIN on all work performed.
• Ensure that parts are either available or on special order.
• Maintain and safeguard company assets (i.e. vehicles and equipment).
• Follow policies and procedures as set forth in Personnel Policy Manual and other corporate policies.
• Any other duties as assigned.
