Senior Web Graphic Designer Location North Kansas City, MO : The Senior Web Graphic Designer is responsible for creating content and following design systems that enhance the overall digital user experience on Helzberg.com. As a web graphic designer, you provide creative input and art direction to design style, including typography, layout, imagery and motion images. This position will be instrumental in translating design and aesthetic to pixel perfect user interaction, while staying ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Works with Brand Creative team and UI/UX Design team to extend and optimize site functionality and navigation. Ensures content aligns with brand standards, campaigns, style guides and follows UI design. Creates photo, video and GIF assets to skin and support UI/UX wireframe designs. Works with Copy Writer to develop visual storytelling to functional components. Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into effective and user-centered design solutions. Presents design concepts to internal teams and key stakeholders. Identifies and helps troubleshoots UX friction points and tests design solutions. Preps and releases final art files to the Dev team. Creates assets for testing and development. Handles and takes ownership of projects from concept to completion. Participates in the user acceptance testing process as needed. Collaborates with Designers, Copywriters, Product Managers, Developers and other teams across the organization. Tracks visual story telling trends and competitors. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field, providing a solid foundation for creative design principles. Minimum 7 years work experience as a digital designer, including experience with HTML5 and CSS3. Must possess a portfolio of design projects. Exceptional design, artistic, typographic, layout, and composition skills. Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Figma). Master of Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a plus. Must possess team spirit and have strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders. Must be detail oriented, possess critical thinking skills and good time management skills.
