The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) is seeking candidates for a Sr. Analyst Hospital Finance and Analysis in our Finance and Legal Affairs Division. The primary responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data from a variety of sources, including member hospitals and health systems, other state associations, and industry experts, synthesizing information, and producing summaries, reports, and analytical studies. Researching member questions, analyzing the impact of policy changes or health care reform initiatives, and effectively assisting in managing a broad range of issues related to hospital finance. Incumbent will also build relationships with member hospitals and engage with them on a regular basis.
Candidates for consideration must have a bachelor’s degree in health policy, public policy, healthcare management, public health, public administration, economics, business administration, law or another related field. Individuals should have a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Must have a working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement policy and/or commercial contracting, experience with financial or reimbursement modeling and analysis, analyzing policy proposals, legislation, and/or regulation and conveying findings to clients or other stakeholders. Incumbent must possess an understanding of policy issues impacting the healthcare sector, as well as how federal and state policy affects the healthcare industry. Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated writing ability are also required.
