Are you a compassionate and reliable LPN or RN looking for a career with a direct and meaningful impact on your patients? Cedar Park Med is seeking school nurses to provide 1:1 care for students in Buffalo, NY. This position involves being with the student throughout the school day and providing skilled nursing as needed. It's a rewarding opportunity to support a child's education while making a real difference in their daily life.

Schedule: 7am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday, following a school year schedule

Contract Length: 1 year w/ possible extension

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide One-to-One Skilled Nursing services for existing and new students as per IEP/504 documents throughout the 10-month school year and extended school year.
• Follow the Physician's Orders/Individualized care plans
• Administer medication to students according to State Education guidelines and as prescribed by primary care provider
• Provide treatment as prescribed by primary care provider
• Handle medical emergencies
• Nurses will be required to bill Medicaid. Training will be provided by the District.

Qualifications:

• Valid NPI number
• Valid and current BLS and CPR certifications
• Valid nursing license in New York State.
• Experience working with children
• Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to health-related emergencies.
• Compassionate, responsible, and reliable with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a safe, supportive environment for the student.
• Two professional references/letters of recommendation
