Sales Engineer


We are currently in search of a Sales Engineer to join our Sales department of the Marquardt Group in our location Cazenovia (USA).

We are seeking a Sales Engineer / Account Manager to drive business growth within Marquardt’s Home & Industrial Solutions segment. This remote position is preferred near a major airport in NC, SC, VA, TN, WI, or IL and reports to the Director, HIS (Cazenovia, NY).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage target accounts and distributors within the assigned region, fostering long-term relationships.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in industries such as Power Tools, Lawn & Garden, Appliances, and HVAC.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Present technical solutions to customers and support product selection.
  • Conduct quarterly and annual business reviews with key stakeholders.
  • Lead the RFQ process from initial inquiry to business award for major deals.
  • Ensure up-to-date product training, sales tools, and literature for distributors and sales reps.
  • Collaborate with product management to maintain an optimal product mix.
  • Maintain CRM data, support sales forecasting, and ensure compliance with business processes.
  • Assist in customer escalations, contract negotiations, and financial matters (e.g., accounts receivable).
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and white space opportunities for strategic insights.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 3+ years of technical sales experience.
  • Experience working with Power Tool, HVAC, or Appliance manufacturers.
  • Preferred background in electronics or electromechanical components.
  • Strong ability to develop and execute business development strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MRP software (SAP preferred).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.\
  • Ability to travel up to 40%. Most travel will be within the region and by car.

The salary range for this position is between $100,000 to $125,000.
