Job Description

About The Role The Pool Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all guests utilizing the pool facilities at Innisbrook. This position is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety by regularly inspecting the pool area, monitoring the area, and enforcing facility rules. The Pool Attendant also provides exceptional customer service by assisting guests with their needs, answering questions, and promoting a positive and enjoyable experience. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with maintenance and management teams to address any operational issues promptly. Ultimately, the Pool Attendant contributes significantly to the overall guest satisfaction and reputation of the establishment by upholding a secure and pleasant pool environment. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of pool maintenance and safety procedures. Current certification in CPR and First Aid. Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and stand for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working as a pool attendant or in a similar hospitality role. Additional lifeguard certification. Strong customer service background. Responsibilities Monitor the pool area to ensure guest safety and enforce all pool rules and regulations consistently. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks such as skimming debris, vacuuming the pool, and sanitizing poolside furniture and equipment. Assist guests by providing towels, answering questions, and addressing any concerns or requests promptly and courteously. Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel immediately. Conduct regular safety checks and be prepared to respond to emergencies, including administering basic first aid if necessary. Maintain accurate records of pool maintenance activities, chemical usage, and incident reports. Skills The Pool Attendant utilizes strong observational skills daily to monitor the pool environment and ensure guest safety. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with guests, explaining rules, and coordinating with team members. Attention to detail is critical when performing maintenance tasks such as cleaning to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety. Problem-solving skills are applied when addressing unexpected issues like equipment malfunctions or guest concerns promptly and efficiently. Additionally, physical stamina and manual dexterity are necessary to carry out cleaning duties and respond quickly in emergency situations.
