Job Summary:

Okemo Mountain Resort is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Recreation Assistant Manager to help oversee daily operations across our multiple aquatic and wellness facilities. This individual will support the Recreation Manager in supervising staff, maintaining high safety and cleanliness standards, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic resort environment and is willing to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $25.00/hr - $31.26/hr
  • Employment Type: Year Round
  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age
  • Housing Availability: No

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily operations across three recreation areas that include:
    • 4 pools
    • 6 hot tubs
    • 3 saunas
    • 1 steam room
    • Gym
    • Studio
    • Sport Court
  • Supervise, train, and schedule recreation and lifeguard staff to ensure excellent service and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Monitor pool chemical levels, temperatures, and equipment performance, coordinating with maintenance as needed.
  • Uphold cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards in all recreation areas.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries, issues, and emergencies in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Assist in developing and implementing staff training, operational procedures, and guest experience improvements.
  • Help coordinate staffing needs for peak times, including weekends and holiday periods.
  • Ensure compliance with all local health and safety regulations and company policies.

Job Requirements:

  • Prior experience in recreation, aquatics, hospitality, or resort operations required.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working flexible hours including day/night shifts, weekends, and holidays .

The expected pay range is $25.00/hr - $31.26/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
