Job Summary: This position provides pharmaceutical care to patients through accurate dispensing of prescriptions and appropriate counseling on drug therapy. In addition, this position assists in other areas within the pharmacy such as inventory management, billing, insurance reconciliation, and quality improvement. The Pharmacy Clerk may also provide general support for all functions of the pharmacy.
Job Responsibilities: • Assist in the delivery of high-quality patient centered pharmaceutical care through accurate dispensing of prescriptions
• Completes the sortation process by scanning the prescription shipping label barcode and confirming the accurate location by scanning the location bin barcode .
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve processes and workflows within the pharmacy
• Perform audits for closed bins
• Responsible for having the pickup driver sign for the correct tote count.
Job Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required
• Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician Certification Program preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (both written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills
• Ability to take initiative and seek out learning opportunities

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position $17.37 - $28.95
