The Per Diem Nursing Administrative Collaborates with Department Heads to plan, problem-solve, implement, and evaluate programs and decisions that affect the delivery of patient care as delegated by the Director of Nursing.
Responsibilities1. Makes recommendations to the Director of Nursing regarding departmental standards, policies and procedures
2. Collaborates with peers to insure consistent implementation of departmental policies
3. Plans, determines, implements and evaluates goals and objectives for area of responsibility within the framework of the Department of Nursing, in collaboration with the Director
4. Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and makes recommendations for changes.
5. Makes recommendations regarding hiring, extending probation, disciplining and terminating employees in consultation with the Director of Nursing for designated area. Exceptions to this may be made by the Director.
6. Acts as on-site administrative head for the institution when an administrator and Director are not on the premises
7. Maintains and interprets standards of nursing practice for area of responsibility in collaboration with a Director of Nursing
8. Implements and maintains the standards set forth by regulatory agencies
9. Refers non-nursing administrative problems to the administrator on call for resolution.

Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $80 - $80 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
