Hiring: MRI Technologist
Location: New York, NY 10029
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–2:20 PM and 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $60–$70/hour
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused MRI Technologist to join our imaging team for a contract position in a dynamic and high-volume setting. The role involves operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining strict safety and patient care protocols.
Key Responsibilities:• Operate MRI equipment and perform imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
• Position patients and associated coils to obtain optimal images
• Educate patients on the procedure and safety measures
• Review MRI safety questionnaires and screen patients before entering the MRI scan room
• Ensure all images are appropriately labeled and transmitted to PACS
• Complete imaging studies in the Radiology Information System (IDX) in a timely manner
• Maintain equipment and room cleanliness before and after shifts
• Scan and upload patient documentation
• Schedule exams and assist with patient call-ins when needed
• Notify supervisors of equipment issues or safety concerns
• Assist radiologists and physicians during procedures as necessary
• Perform clerical duties in absence of support staff
• Adhere to infection control and MRI safety guidelines to protect patients and staff
• Participate in professional development and in-service training sessions
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Solid knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI physics
• Proficient in the operation of MRI systems and related technologies
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate documentation
• Commitment to safety standards and infection control policies
• 2+ years of MRI Technologist experience preferred
Education & Certifications:• Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
• NY State License in Diagnostic Radiology
• ARRT (MRI) Registered
• BCLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
