Kelly Engineering is seeking a Manufacturing engineer to join our client’s team. The role involves developing and optimizing manufacturing processes to meet product specifications and quality standards. Key responsibilities include improving production methods, coordinating new/revised product launches, and ensuring process efficiency through problem resolution, project management, and employee training.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Research, design, and develop manufacturing processes, production flow, and equipment.
Interpret complex part drawings and align manufacturing with product design intent.
Lead new/revised product launches, setting goals, training, and evaluating outcomes.
Manage tools, gauges, fixtures, and CNC/CMM programs using project management techniques.
Analyze processes for cost, quality, and efficiency improvements.
Maintain accurate manufacturing routing databases and work instructions.
Collaborate with external technical support and train internal teams.
Represent manufacturing on cross-functional teams and work effectively with minimal supervision.
TRAVEL
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
5 – 7 years of manufacturing experience
Strong understanding of lean principles
Experience addressing shop personnel concerns in manufacturing
SolidWorks and/or CAM knowledge (preferred)
CMM programming and PC-DMIS experience (preferred)
