Position Overview

Step into the role of a Lead Mold Fabrication Specialist and become instrumental in supporting production operations by diagnosing and repairing injection molds at our Houston, TX facility .

What to Expect Daily

• Ensure precision mold maintenance in the production environment.
• Conduct comprehensive mold repairs, modifications, and preventive measures.
• Compile and document measurement results in detailed reports.
• Operate essential tool room machinery such as milling machines and surface grinders.
• Address and rectify complex molding tool issues.
• Manage the quality of parts through rigorous evaluation and process verification.
• Develop electromechanical testing and adjustment processes.
• Adhere to and implement procedures from technical blueprints and requirements.
• Delegate tasks and oversee the work of technicians.
• Focus on isolating and analyzing complex issues.

Your Qualifications

• Completion of High School or equivalent education.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Work Schedule: Saturday to Tuesday; 4:00 am - 2:30 pm CST.
• Minimal travel required (up to 5%).

Desirable Skills

• Background in manufacturing toolroom settings, especially medical devices.
• Understanding mold functionalities and purposes.
• Ability to diagnose and initiate mold repair needs.
• Knowledge of mold operational parameters and tolerances.
• Experience in basic hot runner repairs.
• Ability to enhance mold surfaces through polishing.
