Java Developer Description

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a dynamic, cross-functional, and geographically spread scrum team within a large Wealth Management firm.

The ideal candidate will be involved in coding, maintenance, and designing backend solutions, ensuring alignment with the latest software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain code for various projects within the wealth management sphere
• Build and refine backend Microservices and REST APIs
• Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure robust, efficient, and scalable applications
• Conduct thorough code reviews to uphold software quality
• Adherence to best practices such as code review protocols, unit testing, and continuous integration
• Actively participate in SCRUM sessions including ceremonies, estimation, and planning meetings
• Mentor junior developers and assist peers in troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Demonstrate a proactive willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and methodologies

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant software development experience
• Proficiency in Java, API development, Spring, and Spring Boot
• Background in SQL and proficient in handling database interactions
• Understanding of microservices architecture and its implementation in financial services projects
• Competency in employing APIs for backend services development
• Familiarity with wealth management practices, although not mandatory, is advantageous

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Spring Batch
• Experience with Java Microservice Infrastructure
• Understanding of Microservice Architecture Pattern
• Proficiency in MongoDB
