Our Real Estate Investment & Development Company is seeking a seasoned Attorney to join our team. Interested candidates should have at least three years of civil litigation experience in business litigation and/or commercial real estate law, with a track record of successfully handling complex cases. This role requires extensive experience in litigation, and a deep understanding of legal principles. Candidates must be licensed and in good standing in Texas. This is a remote position, but candidates must live near Houston, Texas in order to be able to attend court appearances and depositions as needed.

**Responsibilities of the Attorney:**

- Manage litigation cases across various practice areas
- Develop and implement case strategies that align with team goals
- Oversee discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparation
- Represent the company and its subsidiaries in mediations, arbitrations, conferences, depositions, administrative hearings, and court proceedings
- Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions
- Provide guidance on legal strategies and case management
- Independently negotiate, draft, and/or revise all manner of corporate and commercial agreements (e.g., vendor, system, or customer) and other legal documents
- Develop and improve agreement templates, transaction workflows, and processes
- Engage in business development and expansion activities
- Handle collection activities, including filing liens
- Resolve client disputes

**Requirements for the Attorney:**

- 3-10 years of civil litigation experience
- Business litigation and/or commercial real estate experience preferred
- Licensed to practice and in good standing in Texas
- J.D. from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
- Highly proficient in using Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, as well as taking and defending depositions

Salary: $ 75,000.00 225,000.00 Per Year
