Job Description

Start your career in immigration law! Ideal role for those passionate about helping immigrants. This role offers opportunities for advancement while working alongside industry experts at a nationally renowned law firm. Responsibilities:

  • 90% of this role is writing for immigration cases in various areas of US immigration law (including removal defense, family, employment, humanitarian, federal litigation, and naturalization). Writing typically involves drafting persuasive, compelling, and easy-to-read letter briefs, declarations, exhibit summaries, and research summaries on country conditions
  • Conduct research on country conditions, foreign laws, and similar issues to support immigration cases
  • Participate in team meetings on case strategy and communicate with clients
  • Work directly with a team of administrative staff, paralegals, and attorneys to ensure the highest quality of legal representation, customer service, and communication for clients
  • Follow all office procedures and employee manual; attend regular trainings.

  • Strong research, writing, and oral communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Works well under pressure and understands the importance of deadlines and timeliness
  • Demonstrated effective problem-solving and issue-resolution skills
  • Professional and courteous; positive attitude
  • Self-starter; quick learner; impeccable ethics
  • Tech-savvy
  • Microsoft Office Suites and Outlook
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited US College or University
  • A writing sample will be required one business day before the scheduled interview
