Financial Manager - Direct Hire
Marin County - Onsite
Compensation: $120k + DOE
Summary:
The Financial Manager is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and providing strategic financial guidance. This role involves budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and cash flow management while supporting the organization's long-term financial health and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
-Prepare the annual budget and analyze variances.
-Supervise the annual physical inventory process.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
-Maintain accurate financial records for payables, receivables, payroll, and taxes.
-Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
-Generate and analyze financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
-Oversee internal controls and risk management.
-Act as liaison for audits and ensure tax compliance.
-Cash Flow & Assessment Management:
-Oversee billing, collection of assessments, and dues.
Develop strategies for reserve management.
Strategic Financial Guidance:
-Advise leadership on financial strategy, investments, and cost management.
-Conduct cost-benefit analysis for major projects.
-Implement efficiency-driven financial technologies.
Technology & Information Systems:
-Oversee financial software and automation tools.
-Implement staff training for effective use of financial systems.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
-Manage personnel in administration, accounting, payroll, HR, and IT.
-Ensure financial alignment across departments.
-Provide training, evaluations, and leadership oversight.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s/CPA/CFA preferred).
-10+ years of financial management experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
-Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, tax laws, and financial regulations.
-Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and reserve studies.
-Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools.
-Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
