Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and apply forward-looking financial models and analyses to provide insights into organizational operations, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Present monthly financial statements on an accrual and cash basis, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Manage cash flow, banking, and investment relationships to ensure optimal financial operations and fund availability.
• Lead the accounting team, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and adherence to recordkeeping, budgets, and accounting systems.
• Oversee financial compliance for federal contracts, grants, and internal controls, including project financials and tax filings.
• Coordinate the annual audit process, working closely with the Board of Trustees' Audit and Risk Committee and managing investment oversight and reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a preference for nonprofit experience.
• CPA or MBA designation is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with an ability to effectively collaborate with senior management and diverse teams.
• Strong leadership and management experience, with a track record of building and supervising finance teams.
• Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring high standards of accuracy in financial operations.
• Commitment to the mission, with the ability to represent the organization to financial partners and public officials professionally and ethically.
