As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you'll:
Provide excellent support via phone (inbound calls), email, and chat, assisting customers with their tax filing process.
Address questions related to tax filing, products, services, and account details.
Help customers troubleshoot any issues with their tax filings or related software.
Accurately document customer interactions and issues in our support system.
Meet performance goals related to customer satisfaction, response times, and first-call resolution.
Maintain a professional and positive attitude during high-demand periods.
Key Responsibilities:
Offer courteous and efficient support during the busy tax season via phone, email, and chat.
Provide assistance with tax filing, products, services, and general account inquiries.
Resolve issues related to tax filings and software, ensuring customers feel supported.
Track customer interactions and manage issues in a support system.
Ensure high performance standards related to customer satisfaction and response times.
Stay calm and professional when assisting customers who may be feeling stressed or anxious.
Qualifications:
Reliability is essential: Be dependable and consistent, especially during peak periods leading up to and after Tax Day.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
Ability to remain calm and composed when assisting customers under pressure.
Previous customer service experience is a plus but not required.
Available to work during peak tax season (February through April).
We're looking for independent contractors who are:
Self-managed: Able to stay informed by regularly reviewing knowledge resources and updating product knowledge.
Committed: Capable of delivering the required number of hours consistently.
Great communicators: Able to build professional relationships with mentors and peers, sharing observations and best practices.
Benefits & Perks:
Hourly Pay: $17 - $19 per hour, up to $22/hr based on experience and weekly performance. (Paid for production time only)
