Job Title : Customer Service Representative - Paratransit (MetroAccess)

Location : Austin, Texas, 78702

Salary : $22/hr (W2)

Job Summary: We are seeking an Entry-Level Customer Service Representative to join the MetroAccess Control Center team. In this role, you will provide exceptional service to customers by handling inbound and outbound calls, managing trip reservations, and ensuring compliance with MetroAccess policies. Primary Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls on MetroAccess reservation lines to create, cancel, or confirm trips for customers.
• Enforce MetroAccess trip booking policies and rules, including conditional eligibility requirements.
• Conduct scripted outbound calls for customer outreach.
• Assist customers with questions about MetroAccess reservation policies.
• Support the Client’s Safety Management Systems (SMS) by following safety and security protocols and reporting any concerns.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of professional customer service experience.
• 1+ year of experience in a call center environment preferred.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) candidates are preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Familiarity with the Austin street system.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and adaptability to new systems.
• Strong telephone communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and relay information accurately to customers.
• Capable of providing precise directions over the phone.
• Skilled in resolving customer issues effectively using various paper and electronic resources.
• Comfortable using internet navigation tools.
