Compliance Specialist (Onsite– Independence, OH)
 
Job Title: Compliance Specialist
Location: On-site – Independence, OH (Potential hybrid after onboarding)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern

This on-site role (with potential to become hybrid) offers the opportunity to make a real impact by conducting audits, supporting investigations, and driving organization-wide compliance initiatives. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to strengthen internal controls, develop training tools, and support our commitment to ethical, transparent care delivery.

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct audits and documentation reviews across operational and clinical areas (e.g., HIPAA, Medicare, internal policies).
  • Identify root causes of compliance issues and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Lead or support internal investigations from intake through resolution.
  • Track and document compliance incidents, audits, and follow-ups using internal systems.
  • Partner with internal teams to create and monitor corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with Quality & Education to update training materials and SOPs.
  • Maintain and update compliance dashboards and monitoring tools.
  • Stay up to date on healthcare regulatory changes and assess their impact.
  • Support the creation and annual review of policies and regulatory guides.
  • Participate in company-wide compliance campaigns and projects.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Compliance, Public Health, or related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in healthcare compliance, auditing, or regulatory affairs.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare care management programs (CCM, PCM, RPM), and OIG compliance guidelines.
  • Experience conducting investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) .
  • Experience working in value-based care, care coordination, or health tech organizations.
  • Familiarity with compliance risks in remote or virtual care settings.
