Commercial Roofing Project Manager Position: Commercial Roofing Project Manager
Location: in-person in Baton Rouge, LA
Salary: Up to $120k
Our client was established in 1978 and is a leader in the commercial roofing industry. They are known for their commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, and offer services in new construction, re-roofs, and preventative maintenance across multiple states.
The Job We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager to join our client’s commercial roofing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of roofing projects, from initial planning to completion. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities: - Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of commercial roofing projects, including scope, schedule, and budget.
- Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones and overall project deadlines.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Monitor project progress, addressing any issues or challenges that arise to keep the project on track.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment on all job sites.
- Prepare and present project status reports, including progress, budget, and any changes to the project scope.
- Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost control measures are in place.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to job sites.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with project specifications.
- Lead and mentor project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Resolve any disputes or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
Qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the commercial roofing industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing commercial roofing projects from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
