Job Overview: As a professional Cleaning Technician, you will be part of a team that professionally cleans college buildings and ensures they look neat and organized. Assist with office moves, event setups and breakdowns.
Essential Functions: - Dailey maintains the cleanliness of campus buildings both inside and immediate surroundings. Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Dust and wash furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; clean ceilings and dust and polishes light fixtures. Remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions. Mixes water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications. Clean and vacuum carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment. Pick up and empty trash receptacles. Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
- Floorcare. Correct stripping, cleaning, neutralizing, sealing, or wax solution to the floor using hand-held mop or mechanical operator.
- Deep cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass.
- Effective communication and working relationships with all members of the College Community.
- Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures
- Flexibility and willingness to complete all tasks that are assigned.
- Assigned as needed
- Assist with office moves.
- Event setups and breakdowns, including returning the space to its normal setup.
- Completing minor work orders.
Qualifications:
- Housekeeping/custodial experience.
- Knowledge of housekeeping tools and equipment is required.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Floorcare
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds as needed.
Special Work Schedule Requirements:
Part-time - 25 hours
