ArborScape Inc., established in 2002, is a leading provider of tree care, landscape construction, trail building, and excavation services in the picturesque Woodstock, Vermont area. Our mission is to deliver exceptional workmanship while fostering a supportive and engaging workplace. We are seeking a skilled Arborist Tree Climber to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive outdoors, enjoy teamwork, and are eager to enhance their arboricultural skills. The Arborist Tree Climber will lead crews, ensure job safety, and perform specialized tree care services, including climbing, pruning, and removals.

Responsibilities

• Perform tree climbing, pruning, removals, and stump grinding safely, adhering to ANSI and ArborScape safety guidelines.
• Install tree support systems, such as cabling, bracing, tying, bolting, staking, and guying trees and branches.
• Supervise and train crew members, promoting teamwork and adherence to best practices.
• Operate and maintain specialized equipment, including chippers, stump grinders, and chainsaws.
• Manage debris removal, ensuring a clean and safe worksite.
• Conduct regular maintenance of equipment and tools in both the shop and the field.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in tree work (Certified Arborist preferred).
• Proficiency in knot tying, rigging, and climbing techniques.
• Ability to safely hoist tools, lower branches, and handle equipment.
• Commitment to ongoing learning, certifications, and safety standards.

Compensation

Competitive Pay: $24 - $29/hour (based on experience) plus overtime pay
