Reports to: Dean of Liberal Arts & Sciences
Basic functions: Provide assistance to the Dean, Chairs, Coordinators, Faculty and Students of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
Major Duties:
1. Foster the Mission and Core Values of the University.
2. Conduct oneself in a professional and respectful manner.
3. Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
4. Serve as the liaison between the Dean and faculty of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and students, staff, and other faculty.
5. Efficiently perform general office duties including, but not limited to
6. Serve as academic liaison to the University’s designated textbook vendor; manage meetings, coordinate book adoptions, and evaluate quality of vendor service; and be responsible for coordinating book orders with all University departments.
7. Update performance based on evaluation and ongoing dialog with supervisor.
8. Prepare contracts for adjuncts and full-time faculty course overloads in the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
9. Call, email, and text new UHC applicants with incomplete files in an effort to increase enrollment for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
10. Assign advisors to newly admitted students in PowerCampus and follow up with students to be sure they are advised and ultimately registered.
