Job Description
Our client, a top media and entertainment company, is seeking an Accounting Assistant to provide administrative and mail-processing support for two to three Financial Accounting teams. This role involves handling, scanning, routing, and distributing physical and electronic mail, identifying urgent items, and managing ad hoc admin tasks to support a fast-paced accounting environment. The Accounting Assistant will collaborate with team members at all levels, including executive leadership, and must be proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in both communication and problem solving.

- Assignment Type: Full-Time Contracted, December 8th 2025 – May 30th, 2026
- Pay Range: $18-19/hour depending on Experience
- Schedule: Onsite Monday-Thursday 8:00AM-5:00PM, remote Friday
Responsibilities:Mail & Document Processing- Open, review, and determine appropriate action for incoming physical mail and documents.
- Scan, digitize, and electronically distribute mail to appropriate teams.
- Identify urgent materials and ensure prompt escalation or routing.
Administrative Support- Perform ad hoc administrative tasks to support multiple accounting teams.
- Assist with office workflows using Microsoft Office, SAP, Concur, and other internal tools.
- Support a collaborative team environment through consistent communication and follow-through.
Team & Workflow Coordination- Interact and partner effectively with employees at all levels, including executives.
- Manage responsibilities with professionalism, organization, flexibility, and proactive thinking.
- Anticipate needs, take initiative, and help drive efficient operations.
Required Qualifications:- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an administrative role.
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to partner with employees across all levels of an organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with SAP and Concur.
- Tech-savvy and eager to learn new systems or tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities.
- Proactive, resourceful, flexible, and dependable.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities.
- Thrives in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
