Job Description

Primary Objective:

Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick up customer orders and convey orders to packing stations or shipping areas.

Shift:

• 2nd: M-F, 2:30pm-11:00pm

Equipment Knowledge:

• Sit-Down Forklift
• Stand-Up/Reach Forklift
• Order Picker/Cherry Picker Forklift

Responsibilities:

• Picking
  • Operate powered industrial truck(s) to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.
  • Keys order into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy.
  • Conveys picked orders to packing stations or shipping areas.
• Receiving
  • Operates various powered industrial trucks to receive the product into the warehouse and prepare for stocking.
  • Opens crates and inspects products.
  • Applies labels to products according to establishing procedures.
  • Verifies shading of product and places into accurate warehouse location.
• Putaway
  • Utilizes powered industrial equipment to move product into pre-designated areas within the warehouse once received.
  • Keys location of product into the inventory control system and places product onto shelves.
  • Ensures product is placed into accurate location.
• SPC Check/Pack Checking
  • Wraps and packs products by hand into boxes for shipping.
  • Labels boxes with packing slips.
  • Loads boxes into conveyor belt.
  • Verifies orders for accuracy.
• General
  • Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
  • Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
  • Keeps area safe, clean, and organized.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 or more years of previous distribution/warehouse experience.
• Must have a minimum of six months to 1 year of sit-down forklift.
• Reach truck and OP experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good record-keeping skills.
• Good listening skills.
• Accurate measurement capability.
• Ability to understand and speak English.
• Ability to work in a safe conscientious manner.
• Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
